A few trends that I have noticed recently with regard to WordPress development.
- WordPress hosting providers offering services to niches – the latest one released is CampusPress for the hosting of Education based sites. While there are many offerings for high trafficked WordPress sites – the trend is now to specific verticals.
- Lots of blog posts on the postitives of using WordPress as a Web application framework – some of the functionality that quickly springs to mind are things like user and media management.
